This role in the City of Edmonton’s Development Services Branch, Planning Coordination Unit, is essential in shaping the city’s future through sustainable transportation. Reporting to a Senior Engineer, you will apply transportation engineering and planning expertise to review complex land development applications—including statutory plans, rezoning, and road closures—to ensure short‑term and long‑range transportation requirements are met. The position focuses on implementing the City Plan by optimizing infrastructure for a growing city, serving multiple travel modes, and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and external partners on infrastructure cost, staging, and orderly development.
