Position Overview

Tasks

  • Inspecting designated areas of the underground mine to assess excavation conditions and the quality of installed ground support.
  • Monitoring ground support systems, support installations and areas requiring special attention.
  • Preparing work plans for the rehabilitation, reinforcement or installation of additional underground ground support.
  • Performing quality control activities, including pull tests and installation inspections.
  • Participating in updates to the ground control program and ground support standards.
  • Conducting structural and geomechanical mapping of excavations in collaboration with the geology team.
  • Documenting ground conditions and geological structures that may affect excavation stability.
  • Collaborating with the mining engineering, geology and operations teams to monitor underground work.
