The Unit Business Officer provides professional financial leadership for one or more assigned units or divisions of North Carolina A&T State University, serving as the embedded finance partner on the unit’s/division’s leadership team while reporting and remaining accountable to the Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance. Reporting to the VC for Business and Finance, the Unit Business Officer owns budget development, monitoring, forecasting, financial reporting, analysis, and decision support for the assigned units or division; applies common standards, methods, and internal controls; and advises unit/division leadership on the financial implications of operational decisions. Depending on size and complexity, a Unit Business Officer serves a single larger unit/division or is shared across several smaller units.
