About the Position:

The short stay unit is a 17-bed unit that cares for Outpatient medical patients needing additional monitoring, not to exceed 24 hours. The typical patient in this unit is post-procedure, such as cardiac Cath, radiology procedures, bronchoscopy, and IV infusions such as chemotherapy or blood transfusions. Nurses and Clinicians on this unit compose a highly independent functioning staff with a major focus on quality patient care and satisfaction. Due to the brevity of patient stays, this is a fast-paced unit that requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
