Job Summary

Provide primary health care services and consultation for patients and families, focusing on wellness and health promotion and surgical care services as appropriate.


Essential Functions


+ Provide comprehensive primary care within the regulatory guidelines set by the State of Michigan and Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Code of Federal Regulations, Joint Commission (JC), Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH), and other regulatory agencies including performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribing and administering medical treatment and medications; supervising the physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners in order to plan and coordinate patient care; periodically reviewing the clinics patient records if applicable.

+ Perform complete screening examinations and routine examinations in order to determine a baseline, reflect the nature of the patient visit, diagnose and promote good health.
