Vessel Accountant (Shipping/Maritime)

Our client is a well-established maritime business, and they are looking to hire a Vessel Accountant to manage the accounting for vessel-owning entities, with a strong focus on fixed assets, month-end reporting and the full asset lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full set of accounts for vessel-owning entities, including GL, AP, AR and bank reconciliations
• Perform vessel accounting across the full asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals and chartering-related transactions
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalisation, depreciation, transfers, disposals and maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Support IFRS 16 lease accounting, vessel financing and related accounting entries
• Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations, management reports, vessel P&Ls and balance sheet schedules
