ROLE SUMMARY:
The Volunteer Support Officer is an integral role within the Unit Support Team, responsible for specialised and dynamic support of VICSES volunteer units and their management teams along with coordination of functions including administration, compliance, grant applications and logistics that maintain unit operational readiness.Out of hours work including weekends and travel will be required to provide assistance to volunteer units during scheduled training, unit meetings and other unit or regional activities.
The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) plays a major role in Victoria's emergency response activities during emergencies for which it is responsible including Flood, Storm, Earthquake, Tsunami, Landslide, along with supporting other agencies and departments as required under section 6A of the VICSES Act....
