WGNO News in New Orleans is searching for a Weekend Evening Anchor / MMJ to anchor-produce all of our Weekend Evening newscasts and be a reporter three days a week.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on anchor who collaborates with producers, reporters, assignment editors, and others about newscast content. They should also be a strong enterprise reporter who excels at live shots, generates exclusive stories, and is active on social media and emerging digital platforms.


Core duties include:

+ Anchors and produces Weekend Evening newscasts and other newscasts if needed.

+ Reports news stories for broadcast, describing the background and details of events .

+ Arranges interviews with people who can provide information about stories.

+ Produces and presents reports for all platforms.

+ Reviews copy for correct grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines.
