Overview

This full-time Wildlife Veterinarian role at RAREC – Rainforest Awareness Rescue and Education Center is an on-site position based in Iquitos. The Wildlife Veterinarian provides medical care, diagnostics, and treatment for a variety of rainforest species, including injured, orphaned, and rehabilitating animals. Daily responsibilities include performing clinical exams, administering medications, conducting routine health checks, developing treatment and rehabilitation plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also involves education initiatives through training vet students on a daily basis.
