**Job Summary:**

Provided surgical tech care to patients within the student scope of practice under the direct supervision of surgical technologist preceptor or registered nurse.

**Job Responsibilities and Requirements:**

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Practices and implements the technical components of patient care.
+ Practices the preparation of equipment, supplies and resource needed based on the patient's plan of care.
+ Practices accurate and timely communication of information to the Registered Nurse regarding patients in their care.
+ Practices the correct handling and labeling of all specimens.
+ Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Currently enrolled in a surgical technologist training program
